The project implemented at Phinia's manufacturing facility in the Izmir ESBAŞ Free Zone provides individual tracking of electronic boards throughout all assembly operations, associates quality results with each unit, and automatically generates customer labels at the end of the process.
End-to-end traceability in electronic board production
Electronic boards manufactured at Phinia's automotive production facility in the Izmir ESBAŞ Free Zone pass through multiple assembly and quality control operations.
The project was implemented to provide complete traceability of each board's production history and quality results at an individual product level.
Tracking operations and quality data for each board
It was necessary to monitor which stations each electronic board passed through and record quality results at every operation. In addition, ensuring the correct customer label was applied at the end of the process was a critical requirement.

Board-level operation and quality tracking
Electronic boards are individually identified and tracked from the beginning of the assembly process. Status updates from each operation and OK–NOK quality results from vision inspection stations are associated with the corresponding board. Customer labels are automatically generated at the end of production.
