Main benefits of Capsule T&T:

- Preventing the distribution of expired, banned, or recalled products.
- Allowing the collection of medical product usage data and the development of special strategies based on this data.
- Providing effective material management.
- Better management of supply chain operations.
Different technologies such as RFID, 1D linear barcode, or Data Matrix (QR Code) are used for traceability in the pharmaceutical industry. In our country (Turkey), drug traceability is provided by 2D QR code technology.
In Turkey, the following information is included in the QR code:
- GTIN (Global Trade Item Number): It is a 14-digit barcode number.
- SN (Serial Number): It is uniquely determined by manufacturers for each unit of medicine. It is a sequentially increasing number.
- XD (Expiration Date): It is the expiration date expressed in 6 digits in year, month, day format.
- BN (Batch Number): It is a number indicating the batch number in the production of the medicine.
